Renee is an amazing instructor, and I specifically choose her classes because I really enjoy her teaching style. However, during the summer months the studio becomes extremely hot and poorly ventilated. The room is quite small, yet classes are often full, with around 20 participants plus the instructor. During today’s cardio barre class, the mirrors were literally fogging up from people’s breath. The lack of air conditioning made it difficult to exercise safely. I felt very dizzy throughout the class and was unable to perform at my usual level. This is not about comfort — it is becoming a health and safety issue, especially during high-intensity workouts in Barcelona’s summer heat. I truly enjoy the studio and would love to see this addressed, as it would make the experience much better for everyone.

The environment, however, felt a bit more rushed and stressed than usual, which is ironic considering many people come precisely for nervous system regulation and relaxation. What surprised me this time was being asked to pay €2 for the small spa towel. I understand that two towels are needed l. one for the spa and one for the shower, and that’s completely normal. However, in the past, the small white spa towel was always provided, so this was new to me. It would be helpful to inform clients about this when booking the class, as other gyms and wellness spaces usually do, especially since this wasn’t the policy before.
