I’m so used to walking to a beginner’s class only to find myself being the only one stumbling after the teacher only showed the combo once or twice and everyone else got it right away. Joshua takes the time to go over weight distribution, body isolation, and breaks down each step in a really understandable and easy manner. Can’t wait to go back! To all the beginners out there, this is truly a class you can learn how to dance!

As soon as the instructor began teaching it was easy to catch up and understand the steps. Emma has a great way of teaching and a humorous attitude. Would highly recommend.

alle beoordelingen weergevenMake sure to go to the South Bay Dance Center studio entrance that is on the north side of the building - there is also safer and well-lit parking on this side. When you enter the building, the salsa class is taught in the studio on your right. The instructor is Uliana - she has the class do a warmup, learn the basic moves, and teaches you a short routine 😊 There are typically more single men in this class, so single ladies are welcome, do not worry - you will pair up with a partner after learning the basics and you will rotate to a new partner Uliana recommends you can become a better dancer after dancing with different types of people and also shared a social dance event which was very kind of her to share. also side note: heels are not required, sneakers are ok if you want to play it safe and not risk injury when you are just starting to learn. :) Great class!

Class was accessible for me, a first timer but also for any beginner with options to work on style, and to add more complex moves if you have more practice under your belt.
