The owner Carol is lovely. We did a boxing class which was a good pace and workout. Learnt some good technical defensive and offensive. There was something to suit every level - the trainer was very knowledgeable and talked us through some tricky little techniques which I really enjoyed learning. As a whole the gym is very well equipped, they have a big mixture of classes for all round martial arts and yoga. Lots of pads, bags and a large ring. There was a friendly family type atmosphere with some seating which gave a nice vibe to the main training area. Absolutely a great place and female friendly.

From start to end… v welcoming served me a drink (water/tea option) first then she did the massage for the full one hour and was always checking if i was cold or if pressure was ok. And v friendly and smiley; was a relaxing massage and i appreciate that it was a quiet massage cos i wanted to just enjoy and fall asleep which i did. At the end she served me a warm dessert which was yummy not too sweet which i appreciate cos after an anti cellulite massage wouldnt wanna be eating anything sweet to negate the good work done prior haha. One thing to note is that the recovery area is actually not that big — there are two ice bath pools, one magnesium hot bath and a sauna. It’s all communal so not gr8 for introverts or if you’re not feeling social when you visit. The baths themselves were nice and clean for the most part (there was a fair bit of body/head hair floating in the magnesium pool so guessing their filter isn’t that strong 🫨) and doing contrast therapy with the hot and ice pools leaves you feeling insanely relaxed at the end. There is a little cafe attached to it as well that serves up quick bites like sandwiches, pasties and coffees. Prices were standard cafe prices but sandwiches were actually pretty dang good. Best to visit during off-peak hours — honestly the fact that you can only book weekday slots on here is a blessing in disguise.
