Initially I was apprehensive because of my lack of Japanese but the instructor was very warm and welcoming and she tried to speak to us in English. She also demonstrated moves that were difficult to explain, and guided through them so it was easy to follow along. It was a fun class with the right amount of challenge that I needed. I recommend it!

We did a short mindfulness and meditation walk around Hibiya Park we stopped by the trees and lake and truly absorbed the sounds and sights of the park. It was nice to take a pause in the middle of the city and be fully aware of myself and my surroundings. Afterwards, we went to the garden terrace and did yoga in the sun. it was great! I recommend having a basic understanding of Japanese in order to understand the instructor's mindfulness lessons!

When I told him that I practice kickboxing, he very kindly taught me some Jeet Kune Do moves that I could also use in kickboxing, and I was impressed by the speed of Jeet Kune Do. I was also very interested in the move of pretending to block and then attacking directly. Although the flows were slow, the connection of each move to your core was highly effective. I felt so refreshed and ALIVE after the class. I could feel Akemi-san's passion for yoga and teaching.
