At this point in my life, if I do not go to this class at least once a week, I am a ball of anxiety and stress. Katie knows exactly what to say, and when to say it while still giving us time to be inside our bodies. The music makes me feel like I’m in a fantasy movie. Her “pushies” / assistance with getting in pose is what I look forward to the most in this class. I finally feel like I’m starting to get my cheerleader flexibility back.

alle beoordelingen weergevenHARD AF!!!! SO MUCH SWEAT!!!! Usually when you see a “yoga sculpt” class it’s a boring vinyasa flow with some rinky dink weights but NO, this is yoga mixed with serious bodyweight calisthenics drills, tons of planking to build natural upper body and core strength, and so much glute work ouchhhhh…. Some small ankle and ring weights are used but it’s mostly to add on to your bodyweight. I am a 500-hr yoga teacher and teach megaformer and this has me wobbling on the way down the stairs. AMAZING CLASS if you want to see what your body can do and build strength for your other movement practices.

Definitely not pilates except for the ab section so I definitely think they need to rename this to something like “hot sculpt.” Also wish they had at least eight-pound weights for things like lunges! Regardless this instructor is super great at cueing and moving around, love her energy. I feel like this studio definitely took comments to heart and greatly improved the sound in the studio and the customer service at the front desk. I’m a big fan now, especially with the variety and number of classes they offer - super convenient especially with free validated parking!

Both classes I took with this instructor started out intense, and I prefer to ease into my workout. But I appreciate the challenge

But if you’re looking for a class that helps you stretch, relax, and connect to your body, then this is an excellent class! Modifications were provided for every pose which made the class very comfortable. Afterwards the instructor offered us tea. As I was leaving the instructor even remembered my name despite this being my first time at the studio. Would definitely go back!
